Granulated Sugar

1.5 cups

Shortening

Egg

340 g

Molasse

1.5 tbsps

White Vinegar

2.25 tsps

Baking Soda

1 tsp

Salt

3 tbsps

Ground Ginger

4 tsps

Ground Cloves

Directions:

Cream sugar and shortening

Add egg and beat

Beat in molasses and vinegar

Sift together baking soda, salt, ginger, cloves, cinnamon

Add to mix and cream

Add flour all at once and stir just until flour is blended

Refrigerate until ready to use
