Butter1.25 cups

All-Purpose Flour1 tsp
Baking Soda1 tsp
Salt1 tsp
Ground Cinnamon1 tsp
Ground Nutmeg3 cups
Quick Cooking OatsDirections:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg, then stir in the vanilla

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, gradually stir into the creamed mixture

Finally, stir in the quick oats and dried fruit

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the unprepared cookie sheet

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven

Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely
