Sugar

1 cup

Brandy

Directions:

In a pitcher combine the mint, the sugar and 3 tablespoons hot water and with a wooden spoon combine the mixture well, bruising the mint

Stir in the wine and the brandy and chill the sangría, covered, for 1 hour

Strain the sangría into tall glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish each drink with mint sprig
