Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Oil a 9 by 5 by 3-inch loaf pan

In a bowl combine flour and sugar

Add beer and stir until a dough is formed

Turn out dough on a lightly floured work surface and knead until dough is smooth and elastic

Form into a loaf and fit it into the prepared pan

Brush top with melted butter
