Light Brown Sugar (firmly-packed)3 tsp
Baking Soda1 tsp
Salt (fine)2 large

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Butter and flour a 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish and set aside

Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat until the water evaporates and the milk solids turn golden brown, 7 to 10 minutes

Remove from heat and let cool slightly

Stir butter into brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth; cool to room temperature

Meanwhile, in another medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside

Whisk eggs and vanilla into sugar mixture

Add flour mixture a bit at a time and mix until a smooth thick batter forms

Fold in chips, as desired

Evenly spread batter into prepared dish

Bake until blondies are light brown around edges and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes
