Ingredients:

4 tsps

Vegetable Oil

1 cup

Ketchup

2 tbsps

Soy Sauce

2 tsps

Dijon Mustard

1 clove

Garlic (grated)

Directions:

1

Special equipment: wooden or metal skewers Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium-high heat

2

Skewer the strawberries and coat with 2 teaspoons of the vegetable oil

3

Grill on all sides, 1 1/2 minutes total

4

In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, ketchup, jam, balsamic vinegar, molasses, soy sauce, mustard, chiles and garlic

5

Cook over medium-low heat until the strawberries start to break down and all the ingredients combine, about 15 minutes

6

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F

7

Using an immersion blender, blend the strawberry mixture until smooth

8

Continue to cook until the mixture is reduced by a third, about 15 minutes

9

This will yield about 2 cups sauce

10

In a medium cast-iron skillet, heat the remaining 2 teaspoons oil

11

Add the onions and bell peppers and saute until soft, about 4 minutes

12

Add the beans and 1 1/2 cups of the sauce

13

Put the skillet in the oven and cook until the sauce thickens, about 25 minutes

14

Garnish with parsley and serve
