Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

Remove the broccoli florets

Trim the stalk and cut it into pieces

Blanch the broccoli for 3 to 7 minutes

Test to see if it is done after 3 minutes

Shock broccoli in ice water when it is done

Heat a skillet and add the butter

Add broccoli

Toss to coat and heat, then season with salt and pepper to taste
